The best recommendation is to take with you what's comfortable for you. It depends on the structure of your body, the amount of money and documents you want to hide.
In any case possible, share the money with your partner.

Pouch under the shirt or pants
This is the first and most important item for keeping your money and documents (especially passports, credit cards and flight tickets). The pouch is made from a strong material but is thin so that it won't irritate your body, and won't be noticeable from a distance. There are kinds that you can wear under the shirt and kinds that are sewn like a shoulder holster that is "dressed" on the belt in the front, and goes into the pants.

Money sock
Elastic sock with pockets to carry the money and documents, made out of cotton that absorbs sweat and doesn’t cause any stimulation. Moreover, it's less felt and doesn’t become a nuisance.

Neck pouch
The pouch is hanged on the neck and covered by the shirt. There are pouches that are made out of cotton or water proof plastic. It's intended for rainy days or when you do a wet activity and you want to take the documents with you.

Attached wallet
Whoever prefers can purchase a wallet that a slim and strong chain attached to it. The chain can be linked to one of the loops in the pants. Pickpockets avoid stealing when there's an obstacle but it doesn’t mean they won't try to steal by force.
Another similar solution: go to a tailor that will stitch the wallet with a zipper at the size of a passport, that 2 loops will come out of it, so you can pull through in the pants belt. The threaded pocket you put in the pants on the front. When you have 2 pockets like this, one will be above the right pocket and the second on the left, so that you can divide the passports and money you want to keep on both pockets.

Pants belt
You can only store money in it. It doesn't disturb and it has another value due to the fact that it can be used as a belt.

Any way you choose will be good, just make sure that every day you'll take a small amount of money so that you won't have to take out all the money when you need to pay for something.
